About Nutanix Acropolis

Nutanix Acropolis is IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) software that supports storage, virtualization and networking activities and processes. The platform enables users to manage all VM operations including creation, deletion, updating, power, pause and resume functions, snapshots, cloning and remove console access.

The software supports image management including disk and ISO image conversion and uploading, supports intelligent placement based on CPU and memory availability, and live migration processes that enable users to migrate VMs across hosts. Additionally, the platform supports cross-hyperviser migration between virtual environments, as well as automates certain processes such as VM restarts on healthy nodes in the event of a node failure.
