Overall

Sage 100 ERP is an all-around ERP solution, best suited for companies that need a little more comprehensive software than what most accounting packages can offer. While 100 has a broad focus with light manufacturing and distribution features, 500 is especially designed for small to mid-sized distribution and manufacturing companies. Many customers cite the ease of upgrading in Sage 100, as well as its comprehensive feature set.

Sage 100 does have something of a steep learning curve, and so requires a bit of training before users generally feel comfortable with the system. While some customers have reported this difficulty in learning how to use Sage 100/500, they also point out that Sage’s customer support is extremely helpful in navigating those difficulties.
