Best Basic CRM Solution

I want to find a ready-made client relationship management software that is very basic–no bells and whistles–simply to keep track of client contacts and opportunities that arise. I read “Top 40 CRM Software Vendors Revealed – 2009″ and all of the packages outlined were too complicated. Essentially I am looking for something like a good Excel package structured to keep a record of who should be seen by whom at what time, and the opportunities identified in those meetings.
