According to a recent survey conducted by research firm KLAS, the top 10 vendors are Avega (MedAssets), Business Objects (SAP), Cerner, Cognos (IBM), Eclipsys, Lawson, McKesson, Microsoft, Oracle, and Siemens

Some other vendors/products to consider are: Dimensional Insight’s Diver Solution, Information Builders’ WebFOCUS, IBM Cognos 8 BI, McKesson Horizon Business Insight, SAP XI Data Analytics, Carefx Fusionfx Business Intelligence, Oracle BI, and QlikTech QlikView. These were also ranked by KLAS in a 2011 report.

Jennifer, the top players in BI are more or less what one would expect: IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, who, between the four of them, own about two thirds of the BI market, which Gartner values around $6 billion.
