Thomas,
As always, the answer to your question depends upon the scale and needs of your company. A small inventory management system with an intuitive interface and simple tools might be fantastic for the needs of a small company. But as your company grows more complex, so does the software and the need to balance simplicity with complexity.
For a small business, I recommend a Business-Software popular ERP called Dolibarr. It's web-based, open source and runs at no price, boasting ease of use and features such as POS, inventory, accounting, invoicing, and an endless variety of third-party add-ons.
Blue Link ERP has gotten a lot of great feedback on its user-friendliness.
Of course, this is a subjective question but feedback goes a long way.

Depends on the Inventory Control you are looking for. If you want a system to tell you that it's in the building but not specifically where it is in the building then an Inventory Control or ERP solution will work for you. If you are looking for a true inventory control solution down to the Aisle/Bay/Slot level you should look at a Warehouse Management Solution (WMS). Happy to discuss further your requirements.
