About Aria Systems
Aria Systems is a provider of cloud billing and subscription management solutions for Global 2000 companies. The Aria Subscription Billing Platform is the industry’s only enterprise-class solution that automates the entire subscriber lifecycle for all recurring revenue models. Disney, Pitney Bowes, Ingersoll Rand, EMC, Internap, VMware, Taleo and HootSuite all rely on Aria Systems for fast time-to-market, low operational costs and monetization flexibility.
Aria Systems was founded by five self-proclaimed “billing geeks” in Pennsylvania, all of whom previously worked for LaserLink.net (an Internet Service Provider). At LaserLink, the team saw that most customers were using multiple vendors to handle credit card transactions and that there was no common interface to manage customer activities, such as self-service, multi-tenant billing and payments. So, the group decided to design and build a platform to do exactly that – specifically for ISPs. Following Covad Communications’ acquisition of LaserLink in 2002, the team rented a former ice cream shop in Philadelphia and created an enterprise-friendly billing and customer management platform accessible via the Internet – at a time when the acronym “SaaS” didn’t yet exist. One year later, the Aria Systems Billing Platform was born.
