SmarterMail is both an e-mail and instant messaging system that can be accessed from a local computer or from any browser. The program bills itself as a Microsoft Exchange alternative and sports a number of tools to handle all of the user’s e-mails.

For instance, there is an antispam monitor, a simple contact management system, a scheduling calendar system, and a mass mailer for those on mailing lists. Additionally, the system search engine makes it easy to find the contacts, e-mails, and attachments users need, and can help users migrate easily from any current e-mail service.
