ERP is Enterprise Resource Planning. Think of it like accounting software on steroids. Accounting software handles only individual business financial functions but Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software does the entire range of business functions for a company. Peter - I agree with Mark, it really depends on what your criteria is. For Microsoft Dynamics Partners you could start with partners who are on the "Inner Circle" and "President's Club" lists which honor the "top" partners in terms of revenue etc..

It really depends on what you mean by "small". It could be Quickbooks level. But I think a small company that expects growth should look at Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains). Which is solid core accounting with room to do more.
