Users can access data using a variety of workloads or access patterns and can utilize indexing, search, analytics and graph functionality. The platform is an operational database that can scale linearly of more than 1,000 nodes and can provide real-time active-everywhere and replication across many data centers and cloud providers.

Apache Cassandra provides basic security features which DataStax builds upon.
