Unica Corporation, incorporated in Waltham Massachusetts in December 1992, is a provider of software and services used to automate marketing processes. The company’s set of integrated software modules is offered under the Affinium name. Focused on the needs of marketers, Unica’s Affinium software enables the marketing process for direct, Internet and brand marketing, from analysis and planning, to budgeting, production management, execution and measurement.
As an enterprise marketing management (EMM) suite, Affinium delivers a marketing system of record, a solution through which marketers capture, record and manage marketing activity, information and assets, design campaigns and report on performance. Its software products can be licensed on a perpetual or subscription basis, and can be deployed either at the customer’s location (on premise deployment model) or managed as a remotely hosted solution by its marketing services providers (MSPs) or, for certain products, by Unica (on-demand software as a service deployment model).
In 2006, Unica was named for the 7th year to the Deloitte and Touche Fast 50 and Fast 500 — the only company to be on the Fast 50 for this long. Unica has also been listed on the Forbes Magazine Midas List of 25 fastest growing technology companies, the Software 500 — for five consecutive years, and has been ranked – for three years in a row — as the top leader in marketing automation by CRM Magazine.
