NetSuite Managed Services: What Support Plans Cover and What They Cost

NetSuite Managed Services: What Support Plans Cover and What They Cost

Last updated: November 3, 2026 · Independent buyer’s guide · We do not sell rankings or coverage.

NetSuite managed services are ongoing support contracts that cover the administration, fixes, reporting and small development work your company would otherwise give to a full-time NetSuite administrator. You can buy them from Oracle as Advanced Customer Support (ACS), from a NetSuite partner as a monthly block of hours, or from a contract or fractional administrator billed by the hour. Oracle does not publish ACS prices, but several partners do: published plans we found start at $799 a month for up to 10 hours and run past $18,000 a month for 160 hours. The contract terms, especially what happens to unused hours and what is out of scope, matter as much as the monthly fee.

Basic and Premium Support response targets and contact limits come from Oracle’s NetSuite Support Terms (version v082721). Response targets are measured during normal support hours, which Oracle defines as 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on business days in your order’s time zone. Oracle support fixes product defects. Its terms exclude configurations or modifications made by you or a third party, such as new saved searches or changed workflows, which is the gap managed services fill.

The three ways to buy NetSuite support

Oracle Advanced Customer Support (ACS)

ACS is Oracle’s own paid service layer on top of Basic or Premium Support. Oracle’s help center describes four tiers: Advise gives access to NetSuite specialists, Monitor adds a designated functional consultant, Optimize adds a customer success manager, and Architect adds a senior customer success manager and a named team of technical, functional and support resources for businesses with complex international or subsidiary configurations.

The ACS Service Descriptions (effective September 15, 2026) set the contract terms. Oracle provides “up to the quantity of ACS hours per month specified in Your Estimate/Order Form,” and any unused hours “will be automatically forfeited,” with no refund or credit. The current item names are Monitor 36, Optimize 20 and Architect 40; EPIQ, a NetSuite partner, reads these as 36 hours a quarter and 20 and 40 hours a month, but your order form is what binds Oracle. The same document says Oracle is not responsible for configuration, development or testing on third-party applications, and Optimize and Architect require Premium Support under a separate contract.

Partner hour-block and retainer plans

Most NetSuite partners sell a fixed number of hours each month or quarter for a fixed fee. BDO describes its packages as a set number of hours per quarter, and RSM sells a prepaid block for a fixed annual fee. Partners usually cover SuiteScript, integrations and SuiteApps that ACS excludes, which is often the deciding factor if a partner built your customizations. If you are still choosing a firm, our guide to NetSuite implementation partners covers how partner tiers and specialisms differ.

Contract and fractional administrators

A contract or fractional administrator is one person who works inside your account for a set number of hours a week. KORE1, a staffing firm that places these contractors, publishes a 2026 bill rate index of $73 to $123 an hour with a $91 median, based on 15 of its own placements. You get continuity and someone who learns your processes, but you carry the risk of a single person being sick, busy or gone, and most individual contractors do not offer response-time commitments.

What drives the cost

The number of hours you commit to is the largest driver. Published partner rates fall as volume rises: OpenTeQ charges $155 an hour at 20 hours a month and $100 an hour at 160 hours on a 12-month term, and Concentrus moves from $165 to $135 an hour across its tiers.

Technical scope is the second driver. Folio3’s entry Silver plan covers functional work only, and scripting and development start at its Gold tier. If your account depends on SuiteScript, custom records or integrations, confirm that the plan you are pricing actually covers them.

Response-time commitments are the third. Folio3 publishes 24-, 8- and 4-hour response targets by tier, and Oracle’s ACS Optimize and Architect tiers require Premium Support, which adds its own fee. For Oracle’s side, Vendr, which sells software procurement services, reports that premium support tiers “typically” cost 10% to 20% of total licensing costs (Vendr, February 2026). Oracle does not publish the figure.

Hidden and extra costs

  • Forfeited hours. Oracle ACS, SuitePacific and most retainers forfeit unused hours at the end of each month or quarter. KORE1 says some partners offer a one-month rollover or an annual allowance, and that carry-over is negotiable.
  • Overage rates. Sikich and Folio3 sell extra hours at a reduced or pre-agreed rate but do not publish it. SuitePacific scopes work beyond the allocation separately.
  • Minimum terms. Published minimums range from 3 months (SuitePacific, OpenTeQ Starter) to 6 months (Concentrus, OpenTeQ Silver to Platinum) and 12 months (OpenTeQ Diamond).
  • Projects outside the plan. SuitePacific leaves implementation and larger projects with your existing partner, and Oracle declines ACS requests that exceed the estimated duration on the order. Phase two modules, new subsidiaries and integrations usually need a separate statement of work.
  • Your own staff time. Someone on your team still has to log tickets, test fixes and approve changes in the sandbox before each of NetSuite’s two major releases a year.

How to compare quotes

Convert every quote to a cost per hour you will actually use. As an illustration, SuitePacific’s Care plan costs $79.90 an hour if you use all 10 hours, and $159.80 an hour if you use only 5. KORE1 makes the same point with its own figures, showing that a retainer equivalent to $91 an hour costs $182 per useful hour at 50% use.

Then compare the result with a full-time hire. KORE1’s 2026 salary guide puts the US median base for a NetSuite administrator at about $111,000. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that wages and salaries were 70.0% of private-industry employer compensation costs in June 2026 (BLS, September 17, 2026). As an illustration, applying that average share to a $111,000 salary gives a loaded cost near $158,600 a year, before recruiting fees.

Ask each provider the same questions in writing:

  • Do unused hours roll over, and for how long?
  • What is the overage rate, and does it need your approval first?
  • Does the plan cover SuiteScript, third-party SuiteApps and integrations, or only configuration?
  • What are the response targets by severity, and during which hours?
  • Who owns the scripts and documentation, and what handover do you get if you cancel?
  • Will you work with named people, or with a pool?

Ask for a sample of the monthly hours report. A good provider shows each ticket, the time spent and who did the work, so you can check how many hours went to routine requests such as building saved searches versus fixes.

Provider profiles

Oracle NetSuite ACS

ACS keeps support inside Oracle and gives you a consultant or customer success manager who sees product changes early. Its limitations are unpublished pricing, forfeited hours, the Premium Support requirement for the two upper tiers and the exclusion of third-party applications. It suits companies that run close to standard NetSuite with few partner-built customizations.

SuitePacific

SuitePacific publishes the lowest entry price we found, $799 a month for up to 10 hours, with a short 3-month minimum and release regression testing in every plan. Hours do not roll over, overage work is scoped separately, and the page gives no specific response-time commitment beyond same-day escalation of urgent production issues.

Folio3

Folio3 publishes hours and response targets for all three standard tiers, which makes it easy to compare. It publishes a price only for Silver, from $1,200 a month for 45 hours a quarter, and Silver excludes technical work.

OpenTeQ

OpenTeQ publishes the most complete rate card, from 20 to 160 hours a month with the hourly rate on each plan. The listed Gold total of $10,100 does not equal 80 hours at $125, and the page body mentions another firm’s name, so confirm figures in your contract.

Concentrus

Concentrus publishes its prepaid hourly rates by monthly volume and a 6-month minimum. The page does not say whether unused hours roll over.

Sikich and RSM

Both quote privately. Sikich’s 2020 plan page lists 50 and 100 consulting hours on its upper tiers, and RSM offers dedicated consultants under a fixed annual fee, so expect annual commitments.

KORE1 and fractional marketplaces

KORE1 publishes contract bill rate data that works as a benchmark even if you hire elsewhere. GoFractional and eMerge match part-time administrators but do not publish rates, and all three give you one person, so plan for cover.

A support plan will not fix a poor implementation. Our NetSuite review covers where companies most often need outside help.

How we researched this

We searched Google for “netsuite managed services” and read the top-ranking pages from Folio3, BDO, Rand Group, Sikich and SuitePacific. Most explain what managed services include, but none puts Oracle’s ACS contract terms next to partner rate cards. We then read Oracle’s ACS Service Descriptions and NetSuite Support Terms, and every partner and staffing page we could find with published prices. We list a price only where the provider publishes it, and we note where the source sells the service it describes. No provider paid for inclusion.

Frequently asked questions

How much do NetSuite managed services cost per month?

Published partner plans we found start at $799 a month for up to 10 hours (SuitePacific) and reach $18,400 a month for 160 hours (OpenTeQ). Folio3’s entry plan starts at $1,200 a month for 45 hours a quarter. Oracle does not publish ACS prices, so you need a quote.

Is NetSuite ACS worth it compared with a partner?

ACS fits accounts that stay close to standard NetSuite, because Oracle excludes configuration, development and testing on third-party applications. If a partner wrote your scripts or integrations, a partner plan usually covers more of your actual tickets. Compare both on cost per hour used, not the monthly fee.

Do unused NetSuite support hours roll over?

Usually not. Oracle’s ACS terms forfeit unused hours with no refund or credit, and SuitePacific states that its allocation does not roll over. Some partners will negotiate a one-month rollover or an annual allowance, so ask before you sign.

What does NetSuite Basic Support include?

Basic Support comes with every NetSuite subscription and covers Severity 1 issues with a 2-hour response target and two authorized contacts. Premium Support covers Severity 1 to 4, sets a 1-hour Severity 1 target and allows four contacts. Neither includes configuration work or report building.

Should I hire a NetSuite administrator or use managed services?

A full-time administrator makes sense when you have steady daily work, given a US median base salary of about $111,000 according to KORE1. If your needs are 10 to 40 hours a month, a partner plan or fractional administrator usually costs less. Many companies use a part-time internal owner for daily requests plus a partner plan for scripting and integrations.
