Steve,

If you are an industrial, technical, or manufacturer in nature you may want to look at Selltis. Our focus is managing remote sales teams in a complex medium to long sales cycle. Lower price point than sf.com but 3 times the functionality including complex quote configuration.

Our Free CRM Vendor Series lists a handful of solutions that are perfect for small to medium sized businesses. Each of the five solutions listed in that article are much more affordable than Salesforce. While they may lack the customizability of Salesforce, they still provide a robust set of CRM features for your company.

Hi Steve,

I would recommend trying Zoho CRM. it is free up to three users and depending on which package you get, the price will range from $12-$25. It is a full service CRM with many features. I suggest you check it out and see for yourself. http://www.zoho.com/. Hope this helps!

@Steve, what business are you in? Have you looked at http://www.bpmonline.com/products/crm/benefits? This certainly will help. Intuitive user-interface, clean lay out, customizable system, low price. Are these any important to your business, because the most important thing is to know what the business needs are.

Might be a bit late but your decision is based on your needs not just a brand. Besides those mentioned above, you might look at Pipeliner CRM ( http://goo.gl/09xxZf ) if you are a sales organization primarily. It is VERY STRONG on sales opportunity management but might lack the post sale tools.
